What can be submitted for the Blog?

College Pickleball Buzz features a variety of content including articles, podcasts, videos, club shout-outs, livestreams, and other relevant material related to collegiate pickleball. We welcome submissions and requests to share information that will engage campus pickleball clubs, college players, and the competitive collegiate pickleball community.

Are reposts from external sources allowed?

Yes! Please provide the link to the original post and ensure appropriate credit is given. Proper attribution is required for all third-party content used in reposts.

Who can submit content for the blog?

Anyone can submit an article, video, podcast, livestream, or relevant post. You don’t need to be a professional writer or content creator, but your submission must be relevant to collegiate pickleball!

Are there suggested topics?

Yes! Suggested topics include, but are not limited to, community engagement, helpful tools and resources for clubs, successful ideas or events that could benefit other clubs, tournament preparation, travel experiences, personal interest stories, and more. Anything related to collegiate pickleball is welcome.

What are the content guidelines for submission?

Please follow these guidelines and recommendations for content submissions:

Preferred Length for Written Articles:

  • Short Posts: 300-600 words – Ideal for quick updates, news, or brief tips.
  • Standard Posts: 800-1,200 words – Suitable for in-depth articles, how-tos, and general content.

Additional Guidelines:

  • No plagiarism
  • Properly cite all sources
Should I submit an author bio?

Submitting an Author Bio is optional.  Your bio should be 50-75 words long.  You may want to include:

  • Name and current role or title
  • Relevant experience, achievements or credentials
  • Links to your website or social media profiles (optional)
  • Author Headshot (optional)
What are the specifications for a headshot if included with the bio?

The author’s headshot is optional.  If submitting a headshot, please use these specifications:

  • Dimensions: 150×150 pixels to 300×300 pixels.
  • File Size: File size under 100 KB
  • Format: JPEG (preferred) or PNG

After submission, what happens?

Once we receive your submission, we will review the content within 24-48 hours. If there are any concerns or issues, we will provide feedback for any necessary edits. If the content meets all guidelines and is ready for publication, we will inform you and provide a publishing timeline.

Additionally, we will provide instructions on how to collaborate with us when publishing your content.
