TEAM BRACKET
Each school that received a bid in 2024 will be able to bring 1 team of 2-3 guys and 2-3 girls to compete in the Team Bracket. The group play on Friday will determine the seeding for the 64 team single elimination bracket on Saturday/Sunday. All schools are guaranteed 6 matches regardless of their performance – 3 on Friday, 2 on Saturday, and 1 on Sunday.
11/1 8am-5pm – 3 Rounds of Group Play. Schools will be placed into 16 groups of 4 by DUPR.
11/2 8am-8pm – 4 Rounds of Single Elimination. Schools that lost in the first round will have a consolation game on Saturday.
11/3 8am-1pm – Semifinals and Finals. All 60 schools eliminated before Sunday will have a bowl game Sunday morning.
$15,000 – 1st place
$5,000 – 2nd place
$2,500 – 3rd-4th place
$1,250 – 5th-8th place
You can have any eligible players on your team, it is not limited to only who you brought to past DUPR events. Players cannot play in both the Team and the Challenger Bracket.
CHALLENGER BRACKET
Any school can bring players for the challenger bracket, if they don’t have a bid. A school can bring an unlimited number of challenger bracket players. Players can only play in one Challenger Bracket event, either gendered or mixed doubles, but not both. Players cannot play in both the Team and the Challenger Bracket.
11/1 8am-8pm – Challenger bracket group play games. A player will not actually play games that are 12 hours apart on the same day, 8am-8pm just encompasses all of the time needed for all of the challenger brackets.
11/2 8am-8pm – Challenger bracket group play games and single elimination playoffs.
11/3 8am-11am – Extra time available for overflow or rescheduled games.
$1000 is up for grabs for the school that brings the most challenger bracket teams to Nationals! In addition, there will also be $1000 awarded to the team with the best average performance across all of their challenger bracket teams, minimum 3 teams submitted.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Players must be taking at least 6 credit hours at the school they are representing.
2. Players must be playing with other players from the same school.
For the team bracket only, we will need proof of a player’s enrollment status through a submission of this form linked here: https://forms.gle/U5c6yMghsDhTUnkC7
ALL-AMERICA TEAMS & EAST-WEST GAME
For the first time ever, we will be recognizing the top players in the country by naming All-America 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams. There will be 8 players (4 guys and 4 girls) on each team, for 24 players total. On each team, 4 of the players (2 guys and 2 girls) will be from the East, and the other 4 from the West. The Mississippi River is the separating line for the states that are considered East or West.
On Friday night at 6pm, the East and West sides of the All-America 1st team will face off in an exhibition match called the East-West Game. The winner will retain bragging rights until next year’s East-West Game.
Players will be considered for the All-America teams by these criteria in this order:
1. DUPR
2. Tournament Performance
3. Tournament Participation
CHECK-IN
Check-in will be Thursday night and Friday morning. There will be time to warm-up on Thursday night.
TOURNAMENT BALL
Like all of our 2024 events, we will be using the GAMMA Chuck Tournament Ball
