We’ll be using the same 64 team format as last year\, plus introducing a 32 team bracket for 2nd teams and schools without a bid! \nSCORING\nRally Scoring – Games to 21\, win by 2\, win on serve \nENTRY REQUIREMENTS\n– Any college student taking a minimum of 6 college credits at the university they are representing can participate\n– A player can only play in one bracket\, you cannot do multiple brackets.\n– Players cannot be partnered up with students from a different school\n– A school may only bring one team for both the 1st Team Bracket and the 2nd Team Bracket\, however you are allowed to bring as many players as you want for the Challenger Bracket\n– Your school must have earned a bid from the 2025 season to sign up for the 1st Team Bracket\n– Teams for the 1st and 2nd Team Brackets must be comprised of 2-3 male and 2-3 female players \nSCHEDULE\nFriday\, April 11th – Group Play for the 1st & 2nd Team Brackets and the Challenger Bracket\nSaturday\, April 12th – Round of 64\, 32\, 16\, and 8 for the 1st Team Bracket\, Round of 32\, 16\, 8\, 4 for the 2nd Team Bracket\, Group Play and Playoffs for the Challenger Bracket\nSunday\, April 13th – Semifinals and Championship for the 1st Team Bracket\, Finals for the 2nd Team Bracket\, Consolation matches for all teams eliminated before Sunday. \n64 SCHOOLS – 1ST TEAM BRACKET\nIn order to compete in this bracket\, your school must have earned a bid through one of these ways:\n– Earned at the 2024 Collegiate National Championship (24 given out)\n– Earned at a Super Regional (4 given out at each\, 4 Super Regionals)\n– Earned at a Campus Regional (1 given out at each\, 18 Campus Regionals)\n– Earned through Dual Matches (2 given out)\n– Given a Wildcard bid (4 given out) \nThe 64 schools that receive a bid will be sorted into 16 groups of 4 teams\, with all groups having an equal amount of DUPR. After group play finishes\, all 64 teams will then be sorted into the 64 team single elimination bracket. In order to become the National Champion\, you’ll have to win 6 elimination matches in a row! \n32 SCHOOLS – 2ND TEAM BRACKET\nThis bracket is open to both 2nd teams from schools that have a bid\, or the 1st team from schools that didn’t get a bid.\n– If your school has a bid\, you can sign up for the 2nd team bracket immediately\n– If your school doesn’t have a bid\, you can sign up the 2nd team bracket after March 9th if there are still open spots\n– If your school earns their bid after you already signed up for the 2nd team bracket\, you will be promoted into the 1st team bracket\n– The combined DUPR of your top 2 male and top 2 female players must be higher on your 1st team than your 2nd team\n– If you have a bid\, you must play in the 1st team bracket\, you cannot opt to only play in the 2nd team bracket \nCHALLENGER BRACKET\nThe Challenger Bracket will be split into Men’s Doubles\, Mixed Doubles\, and Women’s Doubles. SUMMARY:NCPA National Collegiate Pickleball Championships
DESCRIPTION:~ The Nationals format is different from our regionals format… It is essentially MLP Format + Singles. There is an emphasis on University vs. University match play. ~ \n​OVERVIEW: \n​​​​​D1 is exclusive to the top 64 teams that qualified at regionals. \nD2 is a challenger bracket and any college athlete can compete. Individual tournament. \nExact same format as regionals… *See above* \n​What is a match? A match consists of the following games: \n1 Men’s Doubles\, 1 Women’s Doubles\, 2 Mixed Doubles\, 2 Men’s Singles\, 2 Women’s Singles. \n8 total games each match. \nA Sudden Death game will be played (9th game) if the final score is 4-4. The team that conceded the least amount of points throughout the first 8 games gets to choose if the sudden death game is doubles\, singles\, or mixed. Huge advantage. \n​ \n​BRACKET DETAILS: \n​​Teams are seeded prior to Nationals 1-64 based on their performances at Regionals. \n32 byes are rewarded to the top 32 teams… 16 Round One byes and 16 Round Two byes. \nSchedule ​will be posted in the months leading up to Nationals. \n​​ \n​Double Elimination + Two Consolation Brackets \nTeams get two losses before being out of the main draw. Teams that have lost twice get two more losses in the consolation brackets (four losses total) before they are eliminated from the tournament completely. That’s a minimum of four matches total or 32 games total. \nYou cannot win back into the winner’s bracket once you enter a consolation bracket. \nThe loser’s bracket has a chance to win back into the finals and has to beat the winners of the winners’ bracket twice… standard double elimination format. \nThe winners of the consolation brackets will win sponsorship materials (brand new paddles\, balls\, etc.)​ \nTeams that are eliminated have the option to play against other eliminated teams throughout the course of the tournament… More details on this will be explained at the event.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ \n​​​ \n​For Sudden Death games (9th game to break a tie)\, teams switch sides at six points. \n  \nNationals Championship Payout \n​D1 – $25\,000 total payout. \nD2 – $5\,000 total payout. DESCRIPTION:Description\nThis will be the largest collegiate pickleball event in history! 64 schools will battle in the giant 64 team single elimination bracket to determine the 2024 Collegiate Champion! 600 expected players competing for gherkin glory at the UPA World Championships! \nHOTEL LINK: (copy the whole link and paste into the address bar)\nhttps://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1721342760770&key=GRP \nTEAM BRACKET\nEach school that received a bid in 2024 will be able to bring 1 team of 2-3 guys and 2-3 girls to compete in the Team Bracket. The group play on Friday will determine the seeding for the 64 team single elimination bracket on Saturday/Sunday. All schools are guaranteed 6 matches regardless of their performance – 3 on Friday\, 2 on Saturday\, and 1 on Sunday. \n11/1 8am-5pm – 3 Rounds of Group Play. Schools will be placed into 16 groups of 4 by DUPR.\n11/2 8am-8pm – 4 Rounds of Single Elimination. Schools that lost in the first round will have a consolation game on Saturday.\n11/3 8am-1pm – Semifinals and Finals. All 60 schools eliminated before Sunday will have a bowl game Sunday morning. \n$15\,000 – 1st place\n$5\,000 – 2nd place\n$2\,500 – 3rd-4th place\n$1\,250 – 5th-8th place \nYou can have any eligible players on your team\, it is not limited to only who you brought to past DUPR events. Players cannot play in both the Team and the Challenger Bracket. \nCHALLENGER BRACKET\nAny school can bring players for the challenger bracket\, if they don’t have a bid. A school can bring an unlimited number of challenger bracket players. Players can only play in one Challenger Bracket event\, either gendered or mixed doubles\, but not both. Players cannot play in both the Team and the Challenger Bracket. \n11/1 8am-8pm – Challenger bracket group play games. A player will not actually play games that are 12 hours apart on the same day\, 8am-8pm just encompasses all of the time needed for all of the challenger brackets.\n11/2 8am-8pm – Challenger bracket group play games and single elimination playoffs.\n11/3 8am-11am – Extra time available for overflow or rescheduled games. \n$1000 is up for grabs for the school that brings the most challenger bracket teams to Nationals! With DUPR’s partnership with UPA\, this tournament is just the beginning of college events at PPA and MLP tour stops. \nFORMAT: 
This event is rally scoring\, team based play. Each team will need 2 men and 2 women that play together as a team representing your school. Teams will play Women’s\, Men’s\, and 2 Mixed Doubles games against each other to determine a winner. A Dreambreaker will be played if there is a 2-2 tie after the doubles games. A minimum of 4 schools are required to run the event with a minimum of 8 teams. After 8 teams are signed up\, our target will be 12 teams and then 16 teams. Depending on the number of teams playing the event\, teams are guaranteed 3 matches (6 individual games) with the potential of 2 more matches for playoffs. \nTeams will be divided into pools and play each other during pool play. The winner of the pool (and potentially second place in the pool) will advance to the playoffs for a chance to win the event. Any team not advancing out of pool play will have no additional matches scheduled. \n*Schools can bring as many MLP teams as they want.* \nRules\nENTRY REQUIREMENTS

In the event\, due to circumstances beyond the control of All State Pickleball League\, the facility has to close\, or does close\, there will be no refund or credits. All proceeds will benefit our Veteran students and the UMass Lowell Campus Recreation Center. \nTournament Games Format:\n-Round Robin pool game format is play to 11 (win by 1)\n-Top 4 teams will advance to playoffs\n-Brackets with 8 or less: top and 2nd seed play for gold\, 3rd and 4th seeds play for bronze.\n-Brackets with 9 or more: will spilt in 2 pools where top seed will play 2nd seed of other pool in semi-finals and winners will play for gold in finals while losers of semi-finals will play for bronze. \nThe Tournament Director reserves the right to merge brackets if there are not enough teams for a bracket\, then skill divisions. We will do a round robin format with possibility of playoffs depending on time permitting. All APP Team Regional Qualifiers will be held in Fall/Winter 2024 and lead into the January Championships\, aligning the series with the college school year calendar. Qualifiers will start with practice time and welcome dinner on Thursday evening\, followed by two full days of play Friday and Saturday. Our state-of-the-art facility and world-class features will make this a tournament to remember! \nDETAILS: \nStart Time(s): 10am start time on Saturday 10/5 (9am start time on Sunday 10/6 if we have more than 30 teams) \nAddress: Performance Pickleball RVA – 8641 Quioccasin Road\, Herico\, VA 23229 \nCost: $40 per player (50% of fee goes toward prize pool) \nBall: Yellow Dura Fast 40 \nTeam bracket: \n· Teams of 4-6 players with at least 2 men and 2 women on each team. \n· Pool play into single elimination (top 2 teams from each pool advance). \n· Minimum of 5 matches guaranteed. No dreambreaker in Pool Play. \n· Semifinals and Finals live-streamed w/ commentary and refereed by local USA certified referees. \n· 50% of the prize pool paid to 1st place\, 25% paid to 2nd place\, 12.5% paid to 3rd & 4th place (if we have the same attendance as last Spring\, $1\,200 would goto 1st place\, $600 to 2nd place\, and $300 to 3rd and 4th place). \n· Bid to DUPR Collegiate National Championships Nov. 1-3 awarded to 1st place (if 1st place already has a bid\, it will be given to the next eligible team\, extra matches may be needed to determine DUPR bid). \n· If you do not make the single-elimination playoffs\, there will be a “Bonus Game” against another team that finished similarly to yours. \nOpen bracket: \n· Doubles teams. \n· Minimum of 5 matches guaranteed. \n· Will be finished by Saturday evening. \n· Will separate into Gendered and Mixed doubles if enough teams. \nYou may either play in the Team or Open bracket\, however\, there is no opportunity for prize money in the Open bracket. I recommend putting as many teams in the Team bracket since most other collegiate tournaments are only in MLP-format\, but the Open bracket is an opportunity for those schools that have an uneven number of guys and girls. \nWe will send out registration forms to each school in early September.
