🏅Final Result
The Pennsylvania Regional was full of surprises, upsets, and breakout performances that made this CPT Super Regional one to remember.
As the second of eight CPT Super Regionals, this East Coast showdown featured powerhouse programs like James Madison University along with up and coming teams like University of Delaware, University of Connecticut, and Rutgers.
One of the biggest shockers came from Rutgers 1 (Zachariah Reilly, Matthew Matro, Michaela Pierznik, and Kayla Wong), who went on a impressive run to the semifinals. They stunned JMU Team 1 in the quarterfinals before falling to JMU Team 2 (Christopher Cosgrove, Mati Dawit, Lana Ung, and Presley Caroland) in a hard-fought 3–1 semifinal match.
Over on the other side of the bracket, UConn 1 (Heather Kim, Brenna Mahoney, Ryan Mirrione, and Brian Oppenheim) battled Delaware 1 in a nail-biter, clinching the semifinal with a 21–19 Dreambreaker to punch their ticket to the finals. That set up an epic championship matchup between UConn 1 and JMU 2—a fitting finale for a weekend packed with passion, precision, and plenty of pickleball. Congratulations to JMU 2 for winning 21-16 in the dreambreaker to clinch the title! 💪🏆
