UTAH TECH 1 MAKES DOMINANT RUN TO CLAIM THE TITLE
The second Regional Championship unfolded in Orem, Utah—a hotbed of fierce collegiate pickleball competition and high-level play.
Utah Tech 1 (Lauren Mercardo, Ella Boydston, Liam Duffin, and Clayton Boydston) looked unstoppable, cruising through the draw and defeating Utah Tech 2 (Dylan Ciampini, Mary Monson, Benson Parry, and Payton Weber) in the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, Utah State 1 (Emily Fitzpatrick, Gavin Fowler, Parker Eggli, Olivia Phillips, Aryan Soorma) battled UVU 1 (Bryce Larson, Lily Goodwin, Rachel Garff, Thatcher Schwendiman, Charles Case) in a thrilling semifinal that came down to a sudden-death tiebreaker (11–5).
The finals delivered an elite showdown —Utah Tech 1 vs. UVU 1. Utah Tech proved once again why they’re the team to beat, dominating the match and taking four straight games to secure the championship.
