OSU edges IU in a thriller to claim the first NCPA Regional of the season!
Competition in the collegiate pickleball arena is stronger than ever! The first of six NCPA Regional Championships kicked off at The Picklr in Noblesville, IN. It was a weekend full of thrills captured by live coverage on PickleTV.
The finals came down to an intense battle between Indiana University and Ohio State University. After gender doubles left the teams tied 1–1, mixed doubles and singles were left to determine the champion. IU’s Mariana Parades landed her signature ‘Nasty Nelson’ in an 11–0 rout, but OSU’s Gabby Simpson answered back with a clutch singles win. The deciding match saw Kallan Arledge (OSU) step up and close out the championship 11–6, clinching the trophy for the Buckeyes.
